Traceability

Making the chain visible

How do we make a complex chain understandable without oversimplifying it?

A practical framework for explaining where material decisions enter the system.

01

Name every transformation

Source, preparation, integration, fiber, yarn, textile, finishing, garment, distribution, use, and recovery form a readable chain when each transformation is explicitly named.

02

Attach evidence to the claim

A certificate, test, supplier record, or process document is most useful when it is connected to the exact stage and statement it supports.

03

Show uncertainty honestly

Gaps should remain visible. A traceability system gains credibility by distinguishing verified information, development intent, and questions still under investigation.
