Adaptive design

Heat, moisture, motion

What changes when the wearer never stays still?

Considering three changing inputs as one connected system.

01

Three inputs, one experience

Heat, moisture, and motion rarely occur separately. Treating them together helps frame a textile around the changing microclimate rather than one isolated laboratory condition.

02

Map zones, not averages

The body creates different demands across the core, joints, high-sweat areas, and exposed surfaces. Garment geometry and textile structure can respond through purposeful zoning.

03

Test the transitions

The useful question is not only how a material behaves at peak activity, but how it changes between effort, exposure, and recovery.
